I run OrrWeather.com for that very purpose. What do we do?
- Weather Forecasting – everything from specific forecasts for the next 3 days to detailed 60-day outlooks, whatever you need. We start with the location you specify, and then prepare a personal forecast. You choose whether we email it to you or put it up on the web. You can also talk to us.
- Forensic Meteorology – reconstructing weather for court cases. From accidents to criminal cases, we gather weather data and tell you what the weather was like at a particular moment in time. We have experience handling vehicle and aircraft accidents, construction mishaps and criminal cases. Our findings have been used in state and Federal court cases.
- Cash Crops and Ag – weather affects crops from planting to harvest. Our forecasts for agriculture have been used from the trading floor to the farm, managing chemical applications, avoiding the high cost of replanting and avoiding freezes at harvest. Commodity traders use our forecasts to reliably trade on significant weather changes throughout the growing season.
- Wind Power – turbine placement determines power output and financing. We prepare climate studies before you start a project, and verify data obtained during preliminary sampling of actual conditions. We also assist in locating wind and temperature instrumentation alongside your engineer.
- Speaking and teaching – bringing weather knowledge to you. I’ll bring lively discussion to your group on any one of a variety of weather topics, from small community groups to conferences, to university lectures and business meetings.
